Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for many units.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
- Previous clinical rotations or externship experience are a plus but not mandatory.
