About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring their experience is welcoming and comfortable. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care while learning the fundamentals of clinical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and basic procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring strict hygiene and sterilization standards.
- Accurately record patient vital signs, medical histories, and insurance information into Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate patient flow, manage incoming calls, and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Provide patient education on preventive care and treatment plans.
- Assist with laboratory tasks and specimen collection as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort and empathy.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn EHR systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Valid CPR certification is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and committed to HIPAA compliance.
