Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterility and equipment functionality
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests under supervision
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventative care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred but not required for entry-level
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
