Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Record patient vital signs, medical history, and symptoms accurately and maintain patient charts.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and EKGs, under provider supervision.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and insurance verification.
- Assist in the administrative front desk operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with word processing software.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
