Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vital signs checks, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical procedures with precision and care.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using the EHR system.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the provider.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) when necessary.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
