Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and explaining procedures.
- Assist physicians during medical exams and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and prepare blood samples.
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and answering phones.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in our EHR system.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of treatment plans.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is highly desirable.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
