Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for treatments and take vital signs
- Administer medications and injections under supervision
- Manage electronic health records and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain sterile examination environments and equipment
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CNA certification a plus)
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Valid Washington DC state medical assistant registration
