Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory and maintain organized medication storage areas
- Process insurance claims and patient payment transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- No prior pharmacy experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must obtain Illinois Pharmacy Technician license within 6 months of hire
