Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Collaborate with physicians and ER staff to coordinate patient admissions and transfers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation and compliance standards
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Monitor bed availability and department workflow to optimize patient throughput
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
Qualifications
- Valid NJ RN license (or willingness to obtain through paid training)
- BSN or associate degree in nursing with 1+ years clinical experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency settings
- Proficiency with EHR systems (training provided)
