Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in medical-surgical units under clinical supervision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments and interventions in EMR systems
- Participate in 12-week residency program with dedicated preceptors
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and hospital protocols
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Complete specialized certifications during residency period
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license or eligible by start date
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- CPR certification required (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Passion for patient-centered care and learning
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Completion of clinical rotations within last 24 months
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
