Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Feed patients according to dietary restrictions and medical needs.
- Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties in patient rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
