Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient status promptly
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, infection control protocols, and hospital policies
- Participate in shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or eligibility
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Passing score on NCLEX exam
- Clinical rotation experience in medical-surgical or acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems
