Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units under supervision
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
- Active Texas RN license (required)
- ACLS/BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Clinical rotation or externship experience preferred
- Basic ECG interpretation skills
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (nights/weekends as needed)
