Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients across diverse units
- Accurately assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient observations and interventions using our advanced electronic health record system
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge procedures, and preventive care
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and state nursing board requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, ACLS preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and compassionate demeanor
