Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and telemetry
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and update patient records with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Adhere to HIPAA/JCAHO standards and hospital safety protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR systems
- Participate in shift-to-shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (Compact license accepted)
- BSN degree required; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in specialty unit
- Strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
