Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings under RN supervision
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in shift handovers and unit quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact license with quick TX endorsement)
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Graduation from accredited nursing program within last 2 years
- Basic EHR proficiency (experience with Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
