Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ER, Med-Surg, and telemetry units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Participate in 24/7 rotating shift coverage
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
- Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
- BLS certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/holidays
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
