Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred for specialty units.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the job duties.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
