Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Crisis Management: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and acute patient changes, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met during their stay.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Arizona.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and computer applications.
