Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of charge nurses and physicians.
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and recording medical history and symptoms.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols.
- Document patient care services, including interventions and outcomes, in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication adherence.
- Assist with triage and emergency response procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (may be obtained during orientation).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and infection control standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
