Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support under the supervision of charge nurses and physicians.
  • Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and recording medical history and symptoms.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols.
  • Document patient care services, including interventions and outcomes, in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication adherence.
  • Assist with triage and emergency response procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (may be obtained during orientation).
