Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments, including health history reviews and physical examinations.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions continuously, alerting physicians to any changes or emergencies.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities, responses to treatment, and clinical observations accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Current, active RN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS certification preferred for certain units.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
