Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings following evidence-based practices
- Monitor and document patient vitals, medication administration, and treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and discharge protocols
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in shift handovers and interdisciplinary care conferences
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Active New York State RN license (or eligible upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Clinical rotation experience in med-surg, telemetry, or emergency departments
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
