Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Transport patients and position them for optimal surgical access
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Process and sterilize surgical equipment post-operation
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Completion of accredited Surgical Tech program OR willingness to complete our paid training
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (training provided)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to obtaining certification within 12 months
