Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and POS software
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
