Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for surgery
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/during/after operations
- Clean and sterilize surgical equipment post-procedure
- Document surgical supplies and equipment usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior surgical experience required – we train!
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Certification (CST) within 12 months of employment (provided)
- Background check and drug screening required
