Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls and determine urgency of care using standardized triage protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and guidance to patients via phone and in-person
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Handle high-pressure situations with composure and clinical precision
- Educate patients on health resources and follow-up care instructions
- Monitor bed availability and facilitate patient flow through the healthcare system
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
