Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields according to surgical protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count and document all surgical instruments and supplies
- Operate specialized surgical equipment including robotic systems
- Prepare and transport specimens for laboratory analysis
- Provide patient positioning and support during procedures
- Participate in surgical team briefings and debriefings
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts and weekends
