Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls and determine medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during critical situations
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Follow HIPAA compliance and hospital policies at all times
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance clinical judgment skills
- Support emergency department staff during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota or willingness to obtain immediately
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days)
