Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Evaluate patient symptoms via phone or in-person to determine the urgency of medical needs and appropriate level of care.
- Perform Triage: Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and route individuals to the appropriate department (e.g., Urgent Care, ER, Physician's Office).
- Document Care: Accurately record patient history, symptoms, and triage decisions in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide Health Education: Offer guidance on symptom management, medication adherence, and preventative health strategies to patients and families.
- Collaborate with Providers: Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Manage Patient Inquiries: Handle incoming calls professionally, answering medical questions and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain Clinic Standards: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN, RN, or LVN) is required.
- Licensure: Current, valid state nursing license in Maryland is mandatory.
- Entry-Level Friendly: No prior clinical experience required; we value attitude and willingness to learn over experience.
