Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols and sterilization standards
- Monitor equipment functionality and troubleshoot technical issues
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery procedures
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
- Strong knowledge of sterilization standards (AORN guidelines)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Current BLS certification
