Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Utilize and maintain the provided medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, lifts) to ensure client mobility and safety.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or medication reactions to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as directed by the care plan.
- Transport clients to medical appointments using agency-provided vehicles.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNA, CMA, or HHA certification is preferred but not strictly required for experienced candidates.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for senior care.
- Ability to lift and move clients with the assistance of equipment.
