What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process incoming prescriptions from doctors and verify patient information for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock, receiving deliveries, and restocking shelves.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering phones, and resolving inquiries regarding prescriptions.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations, pharmacy safety standards, and state laws.
- Label and package prescriptions for pickup or delivery.
- Operate pharmacy management software systems and handle insurance claim verifications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- No prior pharmacy experience is necessary; we provide full training.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
