Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking expiration dates and restocking supplies.
- Assist pharmacists in compounding and dispensing medications.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy dispensing equipment and technology.
- Process returns and refunds according to hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in California.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication handling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management systems.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift boxes of medication.
