Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during exams, cleanings, and treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft dental software
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide chairside support during complex procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA permitted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
