Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental treatments and assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain sterile instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Provide chairside assistance during complex restorative procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient flow
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and charting software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills and patient demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
