Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precise technique
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control compliance per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care protocols
- Maintain accurate digital charting and documentation in Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate patient flow between hygiene and treatment areas
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Certification in coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications
