Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs accurately
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage inventory ordering and restocking of dental supplies
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and charting
- Assist in emergency dental procedures as needed
- Train new staff on practice-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dental software experience (Eaglesoft/Dentrix preferred)
