Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including crown placements and implant surgeries
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for upcoming procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- 2+ years of experience in a general or cosmetic dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
