Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including instrument handling and suction control
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Perform administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and record maintenance
- Apply topical anesthetics and cavity-preventive agents
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Digital dental software experience (Epic, Dentrix, etc.)
