Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging with precision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA/CDC compliance protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and trays for efficient clinical workflow
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain organization
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Tennessee state radiology license (if applicable)
