Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques and instrument transfer
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments per OSHA/CDC guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal clinical efficiency
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer (DAR) license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
