Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using digital imaging
- Manage patient records using our advanced dental software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal equipment functionality
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring (with certification)
- Provide chairside support and patient education
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
- Proficiency in digital radiography and Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- North Carolina Dental Assistant license
