Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during complex treatments (restorations, extractions, crowns)
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Provide post-operative instructions and chairside education
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant Radiology License (DAR)
- CDA or DANB certification preferred
- 2+ years clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Valid CPR certification
