Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage patient flow and ensure seamless chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Perform digital radiography (X-rays), intraoral imaging, and diagnostic photography
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization of all instruments/equipment
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies and materials
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Deliver patient education on post-procedure care and oral hygiene best practices
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- Certification in radiography and infection control (OSHA standards)
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and equipment maintenance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
