Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and scheduling using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene techniques
- Inventory management of dental supplies and ordering necessary materials
- Maintain strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certificate or Associate's degree in Dental Assisting
- Current Pennsylvania Dental Radiology certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Exceptional attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Valid Pennsylvania dental assistant license
