Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per OSHA standards
- Manage patient scheduling and digital records using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for dental materials
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance processing
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
- Commitment to continuing education in dental technology
