Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and four-handed dentistry
- Take digital dental radiographs and perform diagnostic imaging
- Manage patient flow, including appointment scheduling and recall systems
- Implement infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Assist with administrative tasks including insurance verification and charting
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency with dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Schick)
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain current
- Valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation
