Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic adjustments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal patient comfort
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Provide post-procedure instructions and address patient concerns
- Coordinate with front desk staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
