Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Manage patient flow, including scheduling and pre/post-op instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and dental trays for efficient operations
- Document patient records accurately using practice management software
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license in California required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging (X-rays, intraoral cameras)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization standards
- Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
