Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with precision
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting in Dentrix software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument availability
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- CPR certification and knowledge of emergency procedures
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
